Independent Scottish Mountain Rescue (ISMR) was set up in 2016 as the representative body for mountain rescue teams in Scotland who are not affiliated with Scottish Mountain Rescue. The group is currently made up of Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team and Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team, both based in the Scottish Highlands.

Donating to Independent Scottish Mountain Rescue

Independent Scottish Mountain Rescue teams (ISMR) are all charities and rely heavily on donations. Each team requires, on average, £80k per year to maintain their vital services, donations account for around 80% of their annual income. ISMR teams are run entirely by volunteers, all donations go directly to the teams running cost with no staffing or administration fees. Donations to Scottish Mountain Rescue will not come to ISMR teams.
